Beanbag

Scores will be registered based on the final resting point of the beanbag rather than the point of impact on the target

Shoot

Guns must be brought to tables in their boxes and opened only on command of the firing point steward. They must be boxed again before the competitor leaves the firing point. Guns may only be carried by those over 18 years or under the supervision of a person over 21 years. When not in use, guns must be stored in a secure place (i.e., in a vehicle, out of sight). Any breach of safety rules may result in disqualification.

Safety flags must be inserted in all pistols at all times except when removal is authorised by the Firing Point Steward.

Please ensure competitors are aware that footwear must not cover the ankle (i.e., no boots, ankle boots or hi-top trainers etc.).  Long trousers must be worn.

Protective or prescription glasses are recommended at all levels and are mandatory for shooting at 7 metres.

Any type of sound producing or communication system is prohibited.

Sound reducing devices (ear defenders or ear plugs), visors, caps, eye patches, corrective lenses or filter may be worn.

Only black coloured, open sights are allowed.

All mobile phones and any other type of communication system must be switched off whilst in the range and range environs. This applies to athletes, officials, spectators and all other persons with no exception.

Swimming

Please could team managers ensure all competitors are strong enough swimmers to complete at least one length of the pool (25m) confidently. It simply isn’t fair to put non-swimmers into a competitive situation. Swimmers using the start blocks must have achieved the level of ASA Competitive Start Award otherwise they must start in the water. Please mark entry form if outside lane required. Please provide accurate details of swim distance on the entry form.

Beanies will start in the pool and be allowed a flotation aid, and while we will endeavour to satisfy outside lane requests it might not be possible to cater for all requests.

Running

Running

The run will be on  astro/3g  and the runners set off in groups (max 10), appropriate footwear should be used.

Any unsporting behaviour or hindrance of other competitors will result in disqualification.

Prior to the event, start times will be provided to allow competitors to have an effective warm-up.

Conditions of entry

Any breach of safety or sporting rules may result in disqualification. To be run in accordance with 2024 Pony Club Tetrathlon Rules. Minimus rules and scoring apply to Beanie and Minimus classes.

The decisions of the judges are final throughout.

For insurance purposes, all competitors must be paid-up members of their Pony Club branch.

Queries and objections should only be handled by the Query Steward and Team Manager. Please see Tetrathlon Rule Book 2024.

The event is run by volunteers and will require support from all pony club entries to provide volunteers to assist with lane walking and the run.
