In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel all entries will be refunded in full minus any booking fees

Competition Format

Ring 1 Winter League

Class 0 Individual competition only 50cm

Starters   – 9 years and under                                   60cm

Minis – 11 years and under                                      70cm

Novice – any age                                                      80cm

Intermediate  – any age                                            90cm

Open – any age                                                      100cm

Max heights are as above for Section A with a maximum increase of 10cm in Section B.

 

Ring 2 Fun Unaffiliated, Arena Eventing – Individual only

Class A Arena Eventing -Trotting poles – 2 age sections*      30-35cm

Class B Arena Eventing – any age                                        40cm

Class C Arena Eventing – any age                                        50cm

Class D Arena Eventing – any age                                        70cm

Class E Arena Eventing – any Age                                        80cm

* Class A will have two sections (led/assisted and unassisted) with rosettes and prizes for both sections

 

Winter League Showjumping Course Details

All classes – single phase with 2 sections – A & B Standard Size Arena Larger Size Arena

1st Section (A) Untimed Up to 7 obstacles (Min.6) Up to 13 obstacles (Min.6)

2nd Section (B) Timed Up to 6 obstacles (Min.5) Up to 7 obstacles (Min.5)

Faults accumulate over both sections

All showjumping classes will be run under Pony Club Show Jumping Rules 2024 which will be published at Rules 2024 and in accordance with Area 5 Winter League rules 2024 which can be found on the Area 5 website. Points will be awarded in accordance with the Area 5 Winter League Rules.

Branches entering more than one team in any one class must name all teams and clearly identify their Winter League Team.

ENTRY FORM – All entries should be made online using www.horse-events.co.uk.

DC/WL Team manager to provide Branch Entries on to Horse Events, Team selections from those entered on Horse Events should be emailed to anglesey@pcuk.org by 12th September :

 

Please record proof of vaccination with your branch.

 

 

 

Entry fees: Winter League ShowJumping

 

£16 per individual entry

 

Unaffiliated Fun Arena Eventing Classes (individual only) Class A £12 All other classes £18

 

The Arena Eventing classes will run over a separate course in a separate ring, Class A and B will run over a shorter course

All entries are Subject to a non-refundable booking fee as stated online.

Rules

The Pony Club Arena Eventing Rules Summary. (Please familiarise yourselves with the full Pony Club Arena Eventing Rules) Rules

Arena Eventing is a two-phase competition, which can be run on either an indoor arena, outdoor surface or a grass arena. General rules broadly follow the current Pony Club Eventing Rule book as modified below.

• Competitors will jump a course of show jumps immediately followed by a course of cross-country style fences – knock down rustic fences will be used for the cross-country phase.

• There will be no more than 20 (dependent on size of arena) jumping efforts in total.

• For classes A to C the course will over a shorter course.

• The optimum time should be based on a speed of 325 mpm (PC80 and below)

• Horses/Ponies must be aged 5 years old and over

• Stop watches are not permitted.

• The winner will be the competitor with the lowest number of penalties.

• In the event of a tie the winner will be the one closest to, but under the optimum time

• approximate start times given in advance of the day

• The course will only be open for walking before the class starts.

• The Judge’s decision is final.

Members will be required to print their own numbers.

All attendees are responsible for the removal of all own litter, Hay, manure etc from the showground NO MUCKING OUT OF LORRIES/TRAILERS ON SITE

Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.

Health and Safety

The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For those measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable steps to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.

There will be hot and cold refreshments and snacks available on the day.
