The Cross PCC awarded to the winner
Capable of carrying up to 79.5kgs (12 stone 7lbs). The highest unqualified horse placed in the top five will qualify for the LIHS BSHA Rising Star Small/Lightweight Hunter Supreme Final at the LIHS in December. In addition, the two highest placed unqualified horses will qualify for The Rising Star Associate finals at the BSHA National Championships Show in September.

Competitors are required to walk, trot and canter. No individual show is required, but the judge may ask a small group of 3 or 4 riders to give a short display. Competitors are requested to provide details of their costume for the Commentator.

The highest unqualified in each section (Lightweight and Heavyweight) qualify for the BSHA Rising Star Lightweight and Heavyweight Cob Supreme Final at the LIHS in December. As the Class is amalgamated each highest unqualified horse of each section will qualify. In addition, the two highest placed unqualified horses (regardless of section) will qualify for The Rising Star Associate finals at the BSHA National Championships Show in September.

In the unfortunate situation of the event having to cancel all entries will be refunded per class minus an admin fee of £5.00 (Booking fees are non refundable)

Open to members and non-members 15 yrs and over eligible under Rising Star Amateur Rules. Please note Rising Star Amateur Rules 2024 are separate to BSHA Amateur Rules. Please see the full list of Rising Star rules in the Rising Star section available on the BSHA website. www.britishshowhorse.org. If in any doubt regarding your Rising Star Amateur Status, please contact the BSHA Office directly to have your status confirmed.
A results points table will run for all qualifying classes and a ‘wild card’ will be awarded to those unqualified with the highest points in each section following the final qualifier.
JMB certificates will not be required to compete in these classes. The judge will NOT ride exhibits in these classes.
